News:
Upper West Side subway stations will be getting wireless internet and cell phone service in the coming months, but not quite as soon as expected. The hurricane delayed the rollout, but we can expect to start getting wireless and cell service by the first quarter of 2013. (Wall Street Journal)

Kids will have a shorter spring break in February (by 3 days) to make up for all the days they lost due to Hurricane Sandy. (NY Times)

H&H Bagels’ old midtown bagel factory has been renovated and is on the market for leasing, as the Upper Wet Side store has been transformed into a Verizon store. (The Real Deal)

Oh, good. So now the sane among us will have to dodge the morons with their noses in their thumbs on the subway platform as well as on the sidewalk.

I guess riding the subway was becoming just too darn pleasant.
