As this weekend’s nor’easter storm made its final push in New York City on Monday, here are a few more photos of the spectacular sunsets that danced across the Upper West Side skies over the last few days.
Central Park recorded 2.57 inches of rain from Friday through Sunday. The worst flooding in the five boroughs took place outside of Manhattan in Hamilton Beach, Howard Beach and Broad Channel in Queens.
A tree did come down on West 94th Street, though.
Here is how Upper West Sider Joe Josephs described capturing the skies over the neighborhood.
“Before the nor’easter darkened our skies there were two evenings of spectacular sunset to enjoy and in my case photograph,” Josephs wrote. “All the photos attached were taken on 9/24 and 9/25 from the deck of my UWS apartment [on West End Avenue in the 90s].”
