A powerful, furious, male voice boomed out from one of the windows: “Turn that music off! Or I’ll call the cops!”

For at least the last week, a nonstop, high-pitched ringing has pierced an Upper West Side block.

A fire truck would have demolished this whole experiment. Their volume makes my nerves pack up and leave.
