This Saturday, May 14, at 2:30 pm, join your neighbors and other New Yorkers in the largest chorus in the city, at the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center.

“The Young People’s Chorus of New York City headlines this joyous outdoor performance and singalong, kicking off Summer for the City,” Lincoln Center’s three-month summer program, presenting 300+ free performances, a press release announced. “We offer this warm welcome to come together after so much time apart,” said Shanta Thake, chief artistic officer.

“[At the singalong] audiences (aka singers) are encouraged to come together in song as we celebrate unity and the warmer months ahead,” the release continues. “If you’d like to practice your vocals in advance, the song list includes “This Little Light of Mine,” “Your Song,” “The Barber of Seville,” “La Sopa De Isabel,” “Love Train,” a surprise NYC medley of fan favorites, and many more.”

FREE, first-come, first-served, General Admission Ticketing. Advance reservations are not required; but you do need General Admission tickets to get in. For information about how and where to get them, as well as more information about the singalong, click here.

In case of rain, Sing New York will take place on Sunday, May 15 at 1:00 pm. Please check website for updates.

Nonsense! They DID play” New York, New York”.
It was the final song. Next time stay until the end before criticizing.
It was a joyous event. People singing and dancing on the plaza; a fabulous band; onlookers from the balcony of the Metropolitan Opera House during intermission joining the fray. Happy happy happy. Thank you, Lincoln Center!
