In this program, tweens will have the opportunity to explore, connect to, and more deeply understand the issues that affect our city and our world.
Together, students will choose one or more issues (such as hunger, homelessness, poverty, climate change, immigration, or education). Students will learn about the history and current events related to the issue(s) they select, explore root causes, and discover new solutions.
As a group, participants will meet with change-makers young and old and roll up their own sleeves to start making a real difference. The class will be hands-on, age appropriate, and inspiring. Your tweens can change the world–you know it, and so do we!
13 Tuesdays, Oct 9-Jan 15, 4-5:30 pm, $325/$395
