Bard Graduate Center is hosting two special events on Saturday, February 24 that will open your eyes to traditional crafts and historical objects.
At 12 pm, join Georgios Boudalis, curator of the exhibition The Codex and Crafts in Late Antiquity, for an in-depth curator’s tour that will explore some of the rare and magnificent objects in exhibition.
At 2 pm, join Urmila Mohan, curator of the exhibition Fabricating Power with Balinese Textiles, for an in-depth curator’s tour that will explore the making and use of textiles as ceremonial objects that operate within a unique Balinese Hindu cosmology, while unpacking the role of textiles as symbols of cultural resilience and continuity.
