News:
Lincoln Center turned away a woman who was wearing an 8-by-11-inch protest sign attached to the back of her jacket. It read: “NO! In the name of humanity we refuse to accept a fascist America.” Lincoln Center told the Times that it seeks to “provide an environment that cultivates the special and uninterrupted connection between a diverse array of performers and patrons.”
A man smashed a pitcher of beer over another man’s head as the victim played beer pong at Jake’s Dilemma. The victim “was tossing ping pong balls with his friend at Jake’s Dilemma around 6 p.m. Sunday, when the violent jerk hit him with the pitcher, according to police. The victim tried to stop the attacker from pummeling his friend and got whacked with an unknown object, causing bruising and swelling to his forehead, cops said.” The assailant fled the bar on 81st and Amsterdam.
Landlord Hank Freid was hit with more fines for allegedly using apartments for illegal hotel rooms. “The city hit Freid with 15 more violations — at $1,000 a pop — for advertising units at an apartment building turned hotel at 258 West 97th Street, a city spokesperson told The Real Deal…Freid was also slapped with several Department of Buildings violations, including one for converting a ‘permanent dwelling to transient use.'”
Etherial
Dangling modifiers; noun mix-ups make the beer pong incident difficult to understand. Was the victim’s friend also the violent jerk? There are two victims both known as the victim? Verb needed: A […] fled the bar located on 81st & […].
The story is perfectly clear.
The Bro’s at Jakes Dilemma are at it again
I agree with Lincoln Center Theatre’s policy completely!
More institutions should follow suit out of respect for their patrons’ diverse points of view.
