why don’t these guys just buy into the system and get a job?!?! Why steal???
CC, you make a good point, perhaps unknowingly. IF young men had some decent job opportunities, a lot of them WOULD CHOOSE to work I bet. And this is where immigration comes into the picture. If we would stop allowing immigrants, legal and illegal, to enter the country, chances are greater that there WOULD BE more decent jobs for young men.
Would limiting immigration help citizens get jobs? It’s not immigrant status but immigrant initiative that gets ’em jobs. You think speaking English as a second language is easier or harder than speaking English as a native? And yet immigrants go for it, work hard, and we’re indebted to them. I worry it’s American culture that compounds the limited job opportunities. There are fewer jobs, sure, but not zero. It’s a mix. I just don’t agree that restricting immigrants opens up opportunities to people who maybe (I don’t know the bank robber) squandered educational and employment opportunities.
Bring back the NYPD Stakeout Unit from the 1970’s—never heard of it???look it up…
Guy seems to like Santandar Bank!
What a disgrace….they can’t catch this guy? He’s not even hiding himself. This city has become a big joke.
Dude sure does wear a lot of different hats.
Seems like an inside Santander Bank job to me — 7 of the 8 robberies and $ every time, unlike Wells Fargo. Is this person armed? What exactly is in this note? Seems like anyone can go up to a Santander teller, hand over a note and get cash. Get it together, Santander!!!
Much more dangerous but beats being on
welfare.
And I agree – sure looks like an inside job.
Wells Fargo declines his demands and he flees.
Does not show a pistol, just a note, and walks away with $12,183, with two banks not saying how much.
Not too shabby dude.
how hard is it to capture a guy who robs the same bank (Santander) at roughly the same time (afternoons from 3-6 pm) that has perhaps 10-15 locations in manhattan???
I agree. Just need to stake out the street vendors selling souvenir caps near the branches (looks like he buys a new one every time?). Too obvious.
