More coffee and clothing are coming to the Upper West Side, as a hardware store disappears and a restaurant may be moving.

A women’s clothing store known for putting teddy bear head in its window is coming to the neighborhood, according to Real Estate Weekly. “Pinkyotto will occupy 800 s/f on the ground floor and 500 s/f in the basement of 2060 Broadway, a landmarked residential building located between West 70th and West 71st Streets.”
Workers hung a “for rent” sign above Bella Luna restaurant on 88th and Columbus this week. It’s been around for about 30 years. An owner said they’ll be in the space for several more months and then plan to move nearby; they recently approached the community board about possibly moving across the street. Amsterdam Hardware on Amsterdam between 66th & 67th appears to have closed. Workers inside were dismantling shelves this week, the phone is disconnected and it’s now listed as closed on Yelp. Thanks to Ann for the tip.
