After a brief fierce downpour on Sunday, a double-rainbow appeared over the Upper West Side. Readers sent in pictures of it from several vantage points.

It was a somewhat interesting rainstorm, parts of Staten Island even had hail. The photos of the rainbow are gorgeous.
I believe we have been blessed by the appearance of these beautiful rainbows. A comforting omen for the new year.
