An injured deer was found behind a building on West 100th street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenue near the Bloomingdale Library on Wednesday morning. The deer appears to have gotten hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Henry Hudson Parkway, according to Capt. Marlon Larin. Another deer was found dead on the highway.
The Daily News has photos of the animal, which was taken away by Animal Care & Control.
We’ll update this if we hear more information.
Sounds like the deer had no eyes. or what we call No Idea !
Dead or alive, a library is exactly where I’d expect a well-read nosed reindeer to be.
Oh, Deer!
But we do know WHY the deer was “attempting to cross the Henry Hudson Parkway,” don’t we?
Same reason that the chicken had for crossing the road !
To all the would be comics: don’t quit your day job.
so many humans, so little land for the animals.
I saw that deer leaving Riverside park at 103rd street at around 7:15 on Wednesday morning.
There were two police cars nearby. Assume they were trying to help her out.
Sad she didn’t make it.
so much for vision zero. probably hit by a cab making a turn and not yielding.
