The marathon may have been called off, but the folks who came here to run in it are clearly still in the mood to stretch their legs. The park was packed on Saturday and Sunday, with runners passing between the flags that had been set up for the big race. On Sunday, many competed in the “Run Anyway Marathon” around the park while others went to Staten Island to volunteer. The photo below is by Harriet Flehinger, and was taken on Sunday:
