Symphony Space is holding an event next week that will take your mind off of those anxiety-inducing debates and razor-thin polls. Next Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, comedians will put on “The Thalia Follies: Judgment Day” at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space. It’s bound to be ridiculous.
Here’s Symphony Space’s description of the event: Here it comes! Though it feels like it’s taken forever, Election Day is around the corner. Which way will America go? Red or blue? Groupon vouchers for Medicare? Will a dancing horse take up residency in the West Wing? Will your entire family tree be required to vote? Join special guest stars and the Follies cast for a funny, pointed and moving pre-Election Day look at what’s in store including:
- A prophetic glimpse at what happens when Mitt Romney’s PBS cutbacks makes the cast of Downtown Abbey homeless
- A visit with MacRomney’s three witches featuring Michelle Bachmann, Ann Coulter and Ayn Rand
- “Mitt’s Lamentito” in which Mr. Romney laments his lack of Hispanic blood
- And a few Obama Sketches they’re keeping under wraps! Curious? Don’t miss the Follies next week!
Special guests, including Dick Cavett and Calvin Trillin, are also expected to show up at select performances.
